• I respect and admire you for your Liberal, fair and responsible stances on many Political issues... ...but let's stop all the nit-picking crap and get to the real heart of the matter. When are you...and the rest of the American public... going to take your heads out of the sand and face the awful truth about the wasted deaths and needless maiming of our innocent G.I.s and Iraqi civilians? When are we finally going to point an accusing finger at the murdering criminals responsible for this insanity?! When are we going to point that accusatory finger at President George W. Bush, Vice President Dick Chaney, their fellow NeoCons and their American "Big Oil" associates??! When are we going to stop pussyfooting around with these "Murderers For Oil Profits"! Over 1600 American G.I.'s dead...over 11,000 American G.I.'s wounded and maimed...nearly 100,000 Iraqi civilians killed or wounded...and for what?? So that you and I would continue to pay $2.00 or more for a gallon for gasoline!!! When Bush & Co. entered office, gasoline was slightly over $1.00 a gallon...and headed lower! It is so obvious...so totally obvious...and yet no one seems to have the courage to voice it...to cry it out...to shout it out...to scream the truth. The REAL reason Bush & Co. invaded Iraq was not because of WMD's... or to oust the "Evil Dictator"...or to free the Iraqi people!. On the contrary, the REAL reason the Bush/Chaney/Seven Sisters (America's Big Oil)/Saudi Royal Family "Cabal" invaded Iraq was TO KEEP IRAQ'S OIL OFF THE MARKET!! It is as outrageously simple as that! Think about it. Iraq is sitting on an oil reserve pool that could be much larger than Saudi Arabia's. Its Evil Dictator had complied with all of the U.N. Gulf War sanctions. He was getting ready to appeal to the U.N. to have those sanctions lifted completely. He was talking to The French, The Russians and the Germans about developing his oil extraction capabilities. (See "The Cheney Energy Task Force Papers"... made public by the work of Judicial Watch...deliniating the"Suitors For Iraqi Oil" and their lucrative signed contracts!) If that ever happened and Saddam Hussein was able to market his full oil potential outside of the control of OPEC, the price of crude would plunge...and gas would drop below 50c a gallon here in the U.S. The Bush/Chaney/American "Big Oil"/Saudi Royal Family Cabal could not stand for that to happen! Nobody threatens their obscene incomes and profits! So Saddam Hussein's ambitious "Post-Gulf War Sanctions" oil development and extraction plans were destroyed forever by Bush & Co's invasion and war with Iraq... And chaos reigns... and will continue to reign in Iraq...until the Saudi oil fields are fully depleted and the Cabal's profits are finally maxed out. No wonder France and Germany, whose major oil companies had signed lucrative contracts with Hussein, refused to have any part in Bush & Co's charade. Watch as the chaos and the confusion and the violence and the sabotage...and the murders...in Iraq continues and continues... ad infinitum. And Iraq's oil stays off the market! And our gasoline prices here at home keep climbing to record levels...while the killing and maiming of American G.I.'s and innocent Iraqi Civilians continues...and continues...and continues... ...thanks to the "Murderers For Oil Profits!"

Brits and Yanks Unite to Demand Answers to Downing Street Minutes

• Military Families Against the War, in Britain, and AfterDowningStreet.org, in the United States, are working together to demand answers to the questions raised by the Downing Street Minutes and related evidence suggesting that the rulers of both nations conspired to deceive the public, Congress, and Parliament with regard to justification for the Iraq War.
• Military Families Against the War is an organization of people directly affected by the war in Iraq. Our relatives and loved ones are members of the British Armed Services. We are opposed to the continuing involvement of UK soldiers in a war that is based on lies.
• AfterDowningStreet.org is a coalition of organizations, including Gold Star Families for Peace and Veterans for Peace, and many other individual veterans and military families, including members of Military Families Speak Out.
• Court Case Being Prepared Against Blair
• Military Families Against the War (MFAW) is preparing to take Prime Minister Tony Blair to court to force through the demand for an independent and effective public inquiry into the background and decision to go to war in Iraq. This legal action is being taken in the names of 18 of the families whose sons and husbands have been killed in Iraq.
• Memogate Hearings Scheduled for June 16 in Washington
• On Thursday June 16, 2005, Rep. John Conyers, Jr., Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee, and other Democratic Members will hold a Democratic hearing to hear testimony concerning the Downing Street Minutes and the efforts to cook the books on pre-war intelligence.On May 1, 2005 a Sunday London Times article disclosed the details of a classified memo, also known as the Downing Street Minutes, recounting the minutes of a July 2002 meeting of Prime Minister Tony Blair that describes an American President already committed to going to war in the summer of 2002, despite contrary assertions to the public and the Congress. The minutes also describe apparent efforts by the Administration to manipulate intelligence data to justify the war. The June 16th hearing will attempt to answer the serious constitutional questions raised by these revelations and will further investigate the Administration's actions in the lead up to war with new documents that further corroborate the Downing Street memo.

Gold Star Families for Peace (GSFP) In Washington, DC 15 June, 2005

• ... To Demand Resolution of Inquiry into Downing Street Memo
• Members of Gold Star Families for Peace will be meeting with members of Congress on 15 June, 2005 to demand that each individual member act in accordance with his/her conscience, integrity, courage and duty as employees of America sworn to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America and abide by its contents. GSFP believes that the so-called Downing Street Memo is the "smoking gun" proof that is a validation of the fact that the invasion/occupation of Iraq is based on deceit and prefabricated intelligence. We believe that lying to Congress and the American people is traitorous and constitutes "high crimes and misdemeanors" and are impeachable offenses. We will be calling on members of the House of Representatives to begin a Resolution of Inquiry into the memo as first step to introducing Articles of Impeachment against George Bush, Dick Cheney and everyone in the Cabinet who also lied. It is not only the House's obligation and duty as sworn elected officials to do so, it is also their responsibilities as members of humanity. GSFP members have had valuable, loved and indispensable loved ones murdered for the deceits of this Executive Branch of our government.GSFP believes that our loved ones have died needlessly, senselessly, and avoidably in the aggression against Iraq. • On the afternoon of Saturday, April 16th, Marla Ruzicka sat in her unarmored Mercedes, talking on the phone with her friend Colin McMahon, a reporter in the Baghdad bureau of the Chicago Tribune. She'd had a "great" round of meetings in the Green Zone, she told McMahon, and was just leaving the fortified compound in the hopes of squeezing in one last meeting before the end of the day. The Green Zone, which sits on the west bank of the Tigris River, used to be the heart of Saddam's empire, and now houses the U.S. Embassy, the Iraqi Parliament and other offices of the new Iraqi government. Outside of the Green Zone, in Baghdad itself, the security situation changes hourly. A route that was safe at noon could be unsafe at 1 p.m. A neighborhood that was peaceful at dawn could be in flames by lunchtime.
  A petite, blond, twenty-eight-year-old humanitarian-aid worker from Northern California, Ruzicka knew the volatility of Baghdad as well as anyone. She was virtually the only American aid worker in the Iraqi capital. She was the founder of a small nongovernmental organization called CIVIC -- the Campaign for Innocent Victims in Conflict -- which assisted families whose lives had been ripped apart in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Passionate and driven, Ruzicka worked seven days a week, eighteen hours a day, driving around the city with her Iraqi colleague Faiz Ali Salim. The two spent most of their days compiling data on the number of civilian casualties in Iraq, which Ruzicka then used to lobby American officials to compensate the victims' families, often arranging for wounded children to be evacuated in order to receive medical treatment in the United States. It was revolutionary work -- virtually no other aid group or worker has negotiated with the U.S. government on behalf of civilians injured in American military actions -- but it was exhausting. Ruzicka, who had begun to demonstrate some of the classic symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder, was preparing to leave Baghdad the next day for a vacation in Thailand and then a long rest back in the United States. Leaving was difficult. "This place continues to break my heart," she wrote to a friend in London earlier in the month. "Need to get out of here -- but hard!"
  Now, talking on the phone with McMahon, Ruzicka sounded upbeat. In the past few days, she had obtained a document that was her holy grail: a detailed report showing that the U.S. military keeps its own civilian-casualty records, something the Pentagon has repeatedly denied.
