"Symbolic Gesture" after Sandy Hook Shooting

Will there be other 'symbolic gestures' from responsible adults who are armed with weapons well beyond their needs, and extremely stocked arsenals for, even for protection, hope so but I really doubt that, way too many have entered into their own mental issues of paranoia and more, far from responsibility, and the feeding of only grows!

We've seen a surge in gun sales in Charlotte and across the nation.

Man hands over assault rifle as "symbolic gesture" after Sandy Hook shooting
Dec 21, 2012 - "I thought I'd be safer if I bought a weapon like that," Rosen said. Over the years that thought changed. And then the shooting at Sandy Hook happened - - the shooter used a gun similar to Rosen's AK.

"Nothing can be done for the victims of that tragedy but I feel that I have a chance to take one assault rifle out of circulation forever," Rosen said.

Rosen says he no longer feels he needs the 30 round clips and the Romanian wood carved stock. He also feels no one needs such a high powered weapon expect the military or police.

Rosen's wife Freda is also glad to see the gun go. read more>>>

The growth of the paranoia and more, in the mother, she was considered a social butterfly and normal by all her normal sane friends, fed by groups like the NRA and media outlets of fear and doom rushes a real societal doom with the fear growth!
"Worried about the defense of her home if economy collapsed"

MARK GLAZE, executive director, Mayors Against Illegal Guns: But think about this. In the United Kingdom, where they, by the way, watch the same movies and see the same video games that we do, murders in any given year are a few dozen. They maybe top out at 50 or so. In the United States in any given year, recently, there has been 11,000 to 12,000 murders every year. And it is not just because we have a different population size.

It's because we make it exceptionally easy for almost anyone to get any gun they want with about three mouse clicks."

This is what the NRA, LaPierre and those on it's corporate board especially, reports were that 'Blackwater' was used after Katrina in NOLA, really are after as they'll become the well financed, on our money, advertising and marketing arm of our private merc army, reason the tepublicans built it with no bid contracts while under the bush.

No matter how many times they change their corporate name the World will still know them for what they are and what they've done, in Our Names and on Our Blank Checks!

This "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun." along with this: "I call on Congress today to act immediately, to appropriate whatever is necessary to put armed police officers in every school—and to do it now, to make sure that blanket of safety is in place when our children return to school in January." WAYNE LAPIERRE, vice president of the National Rifle Association . Comes from an extremist political ideologue, extreme salesman for the gun industry, that seek to slash the peoples treasury to the bone, while using and depending on all they get from that collective treasury. And have been obstructionist on more funding for police and civil servants that they demand extremely quick actions from when the needs for are raised in their lives. And if the police, others, thought being exempted from the 'collective bargaining' and other attacks being quickly passed by same ideologue state legislators and as quickly stamped by same ideologue governors wait till your next contracts come up.

As an act of curiosity I posted a petition at We the People on Dec 17, 2012, thought I had it at a good, not real long, length for posting but boy you gotta chop them down, calling for taxes, 'sin taxes' particularly related to all the ones we've already got on certain groups within this society and 'their freedoms', on the guns and all the needs for the arsenals many build, curiosity showed what I already knew as after posting in a few places and sending the link out only got back four signators. Mention anything as to taxes folks want nothing to do with it, but say put up petitions to 'secede' from the once United States and boy howdy hundreds of thousands, with huge paranoia and more, rush to sign on! In light of LaPierre's call, others calling for teachers and school administrators to arm up, to Congress I won't change the petition but will raise my call out. Raise taxes on guns by double or triple the sellers price all sellers everywhere, same for each bullet needed to fire for any reason as well as all the needs a gun and owner of might have, holsters for pistols, scopes, especially clips and magazines, anything bought and related to the needs of guns and owners of!

Will NRA board members be quitting, especially after LaPierre's rambling call to arms and yes even war mongering towards everything and one associated with everything else but certainly nothing they do or is said by their leaders and members, doubt it! Hey even if they never attend a board meeting just the use of their names I'll bet brings a tidy handsome compensation, easy money, and members are eagerly piling it on!

Will members start quitting them and search for responsible gun clubs or groups, doubt that as well, hell they would have already done so long ago if they were responsible adult gun owners. They're probably, once again, enhancing their membership as they do every time something happens or the NRA sneezes the fear or the manufacturers come out with their new or make changes to what already are, seen rifles with red, white and blue stocks and barrels or pink guns for the ladies or what clip after the 60rd will come, and especially after LaPierres rambling about time to talk and not taking questions after it was all over!!
