Pipe bombs found at New Ulm college
Published April 20, 2007 06:23 pm - A veteran of the war in Iraq attending Martin Luther College has been detained in a psychiatric ward in New Ulm after police found two pipe bombs in a campus parking lot Friday morning.

Behind the wheel, he would suddenly drive as if under attack. Later they would learn he built a bomb and used it to damage a statue of the Virgin Mary. Then, he killed a cat.

Soldier Says He Was Deployed With Head Injury
Army Specialist Paul Thurman stepped forward Friday as one of the 18 soldiers whose cases were cited by six senators in a letter to the Government Accountability Office requesting a review of alleged improper handling of traumatic brain injuries, post-traumatic stress disorder and ungrounded personality disorder discharges.

Here's how they're caring for Sgt. Paul Miles. The "bomb" they are so worried about was made of 1" PVC and would fit in the palm of your hand. It contained a propellant that isn't as powerful as the black powder you find in firecrackers. And still, the feds want him thrown in prison, not provided the help he needs....Some care.
Of course, they've chosen not to charge the non-veteran who has been implicated in the same crime...just the veterans.
