Non Citizens, Soldiers, Serving Our Country

They have always been a part of our military, I served with some during my years, there are many reasons for, some do so though to be of service to the country they wish to become citizens of. A couple I served with never did and weren't looking to become, they were just young and seeking different life adventures.

Immigrant Soldier Reacts to the New Arizona Law

CNN's Thelma Gutierrez reports on how one Arizona-raised U.S. soldier feels about Arizona's new immigration law.

And this:

Iraq war veteran may be denied citizenship

Ekaterine Bautista holds a photograph of her taken in Iraq. She earned commendations during her years in the Army. (Rick Loomis / Los Angeles Times / April 21, 2010)

Ekaterine Bautista served honorably for six years and earned a Combat Action Badge, but she used a relative's name. She fears deportation.

Just five days before Ekaterine Bautista planned to become an American citizen, she got a call from the federal government: Her swearing-in ceremony had been canceled pending further investigation.

Bautista was devastated. An illegal immigrant from Mexico, she had served six years in the U.S. military — including a 13-month tour of duty in Iraq — and was eligible to apply for naturalization under a decades-old law.

But approval of her case depended on the discretion of citizenship officials. Bautista had served in the military under a false identity, that of her U.S. citizen aunt, Rosalia Guerra Morelos. -->-->-->

Her service and record of should trump anything that they feel should block her becoming a citizen, she, unlike many for these wars of choice, actually served as have many before her, now and will later, while not being citizens of this country!!

In peacetime they may have a point, but during these times of so called war, and having served In-Theater, that's the Trump, no questions asked grant her what she already well deserves!!
