Veterans for Peace Say LZ Lambeau Furthers Military's Cause

Not everyone is supporting the LZ Lambeau event for Vietnam veterans.

At a news conference Friday, the group Veterans for Peace said the welcome home ceremony is less about honoring veterans and more about furthering the military's cause.

"They are here because if they can display their wares they can make more money. They could care less about the vets, and that's why I am so upset about this event," Will Williams of Veterans for Peace said.

"Had they not taken the money from the defense contractors, they might've stayed on course and made this an event that all of us could be proud of, but I'm saddened by it," Williams said.

The organization is offering five workshops in Green Bay this weekend as an alternative to events at LZ Lambeau. Continued
