Navajo Nation Moves Forward to Green

Seems just like the so called third world countries, around the planet, are moving forward rapidly with green economy idea's and solutions, passing us by, our own third world nation within is jumping in front of the rest of the nation. A good fit for the natives of this land, moving to what mother earth offers and now with the new technologies that can be advanced even further and even newer can be found and developed.

Navajo Nation Moves Green Jobs Plan Forward


April 8th, 2011 - In 2009, the Navajo Nation Council made history by passing the Navajo Green Economy Plan, the first green jobs legislation for a Native American tribe. Now the Navajo Green Jobs Coalition has released a Green Jobs Toolkit designed to help members of the Navajo Nation set up green businesses on the reservation.

The goals of the toolkit are to provide support and information for prospective business owners and community members on the Navajo Nation, to provide resources and basic information on starting a small business and to inspire Navajo individuals, families, schools, chapters and communities to work together in creating a Navajo green economy. {continued}
