Reuther Film, ‘Brothers on the Line,’ Winning Praise

BROTHERS ON THE LINE
05/17/2012 - The documentary “Brothers on the Line,” which chronicles the lives of UAW leader Walter Reuther and his brothers, Roy and Victor—from the Great Depression to the Great Society, is picking up awards and packing theaters in special screenings around the nation. Winner of Best Feature Documentary at the Michigan Film Awards and the Workers Unite Film Festival in New York City, the film is written, produced and directed by Sasha Reuther—Victor Reuther’s grandson.

“Brothers on the Line” follows the Reuthers' bloody battles with auto company thugs, workers' sit-down strikes and the establishment of the UAW as one of the most influential unions and through their fight for equality and civil rights.
