Ahh mitt, About that Trip to Israel and Your Speak

"Mitt Romney has stirred controversy by telling Jewish donors their culture is part of what has allowed them to be more economically successful than the Palestinians."

Seem to recall the Palestinians had their land and thus work etc. stripped from them as they were pushed into pieces of then wrapped in high walls thus creating huge refugee camps to better control.

But them vulture, reagan, capitalist think that All tham innovative people and the labor etc. they do and own should be theirs in those bottom lines and offshore vaults!!

I would say that actually the Palestinians, though not by bottom line worshippers, are actually doing much better then many others, they're still surviving anf thriving under harsh controls, by others, and conditions, that which makes up the human being!

A little history to add to your codling of your mass contributor, Adelson, and friends about the Jews and Christians.

July 30, 1492 The same month Christopher Columbus set sail from Spain for his “expedition of discovery to the Indies” [actually the Western Hemisphere], was the deadline for all “Jews and Jwesses of our kingdoms to depart and never to return . . .” lest they be executed. Under the influence of Fr. Tomas de Torquemada, the leader of the Spanish Inquisition, King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella had ordered the expulsion of the entire Jewish community of 200,000 from Spain within four months. Spain’s Muslims, or Moors, were forced out as well within ten years.

The edict of expulsion from Spain signed by King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella

All were forced to sell off their houses, businesses and possessions, were pressured to convert to Christianity, and to find a new country to live in. Those who left were known as Sephardim (Hebrew for Spain), settling in North Africa, Italy, and elsewhere in Europe and the Arab world.

Most went to Portugal, were allowed to stay just six months, and then were enslaved under orders of King John. Those who made it to Turkey were welcomed by Sultan Bajazet who asked, “How can you call Ferdinand of Aragon a wise king, the same Ferdinand who impoverished his own land and enriched ours?”

Jewish History Sourcebook: The Expulsion from Spain, 1492 CE
In the spring of 1492, shortly after the Moors were driven out of Granada, Ferdinand and Isabella of Spain expelled all the Jews from their lands and thus, by a stroke of the pen, put an end to the largest and most distinguished Jewish settlement in Europe. The expulsion of this intelligent, cultured, and industrious class was prompted only in part by the greed of the king and the intensified nationalism of the people who had just brought the crusade against the Muslim Moors to a glorious close. The real motive was the religious zeal of the Church, the Queen, and the masses. The official reason given for driving out the Jews was that they encouraged the Marranos to persist in their Jewishness and thus would not allow them to become good Christians.

The following account gives a detailed and accurate picture of the expulsion and its immediate consequences for Spanish Jewry. It was written in Hebrew by an Italian Jew in April or May, 1495. read more>>>
