DeJa-Vu - Veterans' Get 'Lip Service' and Oh So Cheap 'Patriotic Symbols/Words'

As a, now retired, construction multi tradesman professional if helping to build anything and the Developers, General Contractors or Sub Contractors got away with building an inferior project, cutting corners or use of inferior cheaper products for, very costly maintenance to fix continue for years to come, tear apart and rebuild correctly where done or used can then cause other problems that compound and need immediate attention later and that continues and continues. And when not addressed immediately cause even more costly problems, much more then from the peoples treasury. The VA, or any agency serving the society or needs of parts of, is no different. And the Veterans Administration has been underfunded, as those served ignored the issues from those sent especially into our wars, since the Korean War and even many issues from previous wars and especially that which I served in Vietnam. Many issues ignored and in cases related to them some were reaping comfortable livings writing and speaking they didn't even exist, like PTS, and those served supported those trains of thought, they then needed not pay to uphold their responsibility a functioning modern Veterans Administration, DeJa-Vui all over again with these present two long war/occupation conflict theaters, still unpaid for, and the past veterans. Not building the peoples responsibility as they cheer on wars and send others into creates costly, more then just the treasury, problems that just keep compounding. And add in political obstruction, with no demand from those served to Sacrifice, causes constant problems that are blamed on those working in and not those who were served and especially from their elected representatives not doing their jobs and leading the calls for everyone to Sacrifice! The only other VA administration that attempt to build a modern agency, with the advancing technology especially, was under Max Cleland and he was blocked over and over by the conservatives hired to represent all. This present VA administration has accomplished what others haven't even attempted, and with the whole Executive Administration trying to help. Some within these agencies are looking out only for themselves, like bonuses or good press from their great reports, or bringing politics into their jobs and creating problems that are then instantly made into political scandals for the hired reps to use, showing they aren't doing their jobs in the first place and as to us veterans only concerned about themselves and their political ideologies and not the veteran who served the country especially in it's wars! When this administration came in we the consumers could buy more advanced technology then the country served was willing to purchase for the Veterans Administration along with all the other 21st century advances, and they were left to wind down two unpaid for wars along with an almost total collapsed economy and more!!

“Why in 2009 were we still using paper?” VA Assistant Secretary Tommy Sowers “When we came in, there was no plan to change that; we’ve been operating on a six month wait for over a decade.” 27 March 2013

WHY? GOOD QUESTION THOSE SERVED SHOULD ANSWER, added to the past decades and wars of the ignoring of many issues along with the denying they exist! Think PTS, Agent Orange and Desert Storms Gulf War Syndrome, to name but only a very few, most now being addressed under This VA and Executive branch even though grossly, decades and wars from, under funded!!

05/21/14 - Chronic VA problems lost in lip service to vets
Rachel Maddow reports on the long history of problems veterans have had with the V.A. and wonders if it’s a question of resources or leadership or something else as Washington flails in outrage.

"If military action is worth our troops’ blood, it should be worth our treasure, too" "not just in the abstract, but in the form of a specific ante by every American." -Andrew Rosenthal 10 Feb. 2013

05/21/14 - Political outrage fails to offer real solutions to chronic VA problems
Paul Rieckhoff, founder of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, talks with Rachel Maddow about what it will take to fix longstanding problems at the Department of Veterans Affairs, and veterans’ frustrations with the Obama administration.

Conservatives Medicaid refusal leaves over 250,000 veterans uninsured

A few recent posts on my other blog that address a small portion of what's going on,DeJa-Vu:

Veterans Administration, Health Care, Audits

Veterans Administration"The Bush White House was so concerned..............."

VA Budget: "Congress controls the budget"

Conservative Veterans Affairs Ideology, Fire Gen. Shinseki

Congresses 'travesty' on Veterans Care

Veterans and Extended Unemployment Assistance

Veterans' Administration 'scandal'??

Conservatives long sought political ideology is to privatize government for corporate profits from the people's treasury and ever rising fee's they can legislate into, while those on the public payroll continue same. Bringing along the many problems in the private sector as well, with no oversite and no regulation. That's already done in many area's of the peoples government and done at greater costs, not just monetary.
