GOP Campaign Themes

These people have No Self Worth, I'm talking about those that just hang to this imaginary, once proud, Republican Tag. Even still calling themselves Conservative!


They allow themselves to be led around like the robots they've become, and frankly some on the Democratic side are just as willing, but the fall into line and march in lockstep Falls Souly on the GOP!


They've been Silent and Accepting of the Lies that led our Troops into Occupations and All that has come about because of that, the torturing, the no-bid contracts, the corruption, the deaths and maiming' s................................................, and oh so much more!


They've been Silent and Accepting as our Freedoms have been slowly stripped away, and Accepting of Rule by Executive Branch Alone ignoring the fact they have hired others to Represent Them!


They also find it Very Easy to Condemn those that give Service to Their Lives and Freedoms!


Last election cycle they Laughed at and Mocked the Military Service of one of the Presidential Candidates who Served This Country In Vietnam, just as I Did, and being in the same service branch, the U.S. Navy, they Spit on my Service, All my brother and sister Naval personal who served In-Country, and All the other Service Personal, but most of All, All Those Who Have Served This Country and Received It's Highest Honor For That Service, The Purple Heart!!!






I was waiting to see how they would Slam their Fellow Americans this year. Well they started early, peppering their talking points with the words needed, leading up to their Convention, and Let Both Barrels Go, Loud and Clear!!


They went after Anyone who 'Volunteers', everyone who run those Volunteer Organizations, to Help Others, you know that Christian and Human Ideology They Claim seemingly as their own as they Slam those who are following the same teachings but not Their Views!


I'm to Royally Pissed, as a Veteran, an Activist, and an Advocate to really go deep into All they've 'Spit' on, others have already started these Long Lists, you can read one Here as well as Here and Here.


There will be Plenty more I'm sure, especially as the Advocate, Volunteer, Community realizes what they've been subject to.


And Yes It's Spitting On That Which You Do as An American As Well As All Others Who Share This Planet With Them!!!!!!!


By the way, did Anyone hear anything mentioned on what these candidates and this so called political party are going to do for this Country, Our World Standing {not creating more hatreds and enemies} and Leadership, Our Constitution, Our Democracy, Our Freedoms, and will we tonight??

CBS 'Sunday Morning' did a great report, last week, on this, but they've yet to put the report or video up on the site!

I was in Panama, stationed at the Rodman Naval base across the Pacific end of the Canal from Panama City with only months left till I was in Vietnam, when WoodStock took place.

And we go from 'The Greatest Generation' to the 'Pretty Good Generation', on the G.I. Bill from Our Friend Mark Fiore - Flash Video, skipping over the 'Nam Generation, which country still exists in denial of and having learned no lessons from!

LOVE and War

Daniel Zwerdling, of NPR, continues his reporting on the Treatment of our returning Military Troops, you know who they are, maybe, those who those 'Support The Troops' magnetic ribbons, now rarely seen, are meant for. Or the significance of those 'Lapel Flag Pins' the politicians and some others harp about, the politicians who Praised a Coming Invasion of anothers little Country but didn't have the the time, nor will, to do their jobs in Oversite, Funding, and simple Investigation!

There's a formidable group of warriors out there — and they're fighting America's military. Spouses of troops who have come back from the war with serious mental health problems have made it their mission to force the military to give the troops the help they need.

In the process, they've transformed themselves from "the silent ranks," as the military traditionally calls wives, into vocal and effective activists.

Why are these wives, and some husbands, Fighting for what is Due, from a Country that Cheered on an Invasion and Occupation of an Innocent Country and People!

Where are the 'Lapel Flag Pin' wearers, the ones Hired to Represent?

Military Wives Fight Army to Help Husbands

It's left to those who understand their Love for their partners who now are battling the demons inside, brought on by the Death and Destruction of War and Occupation. Partners who cannot wage the battles of their memories by themselves, that Love brings on a strenght and focus to do the Fighting Needed, fighting that should have to be done!

Tammie LeCompte meticulously filed every Army document about Ryan LeCompte in chronological order in binders. Senate aides say these bulging binders helped convince them that Army officials were mistreating her husband.

Tammie, and her husband, two tour Iraq Veteran, are the main subjects of this recent report, but they are the voices of the many who are finding themselves in roles never expected!

Carissa Picard, founder of a national group called Military Spouses for Change, has never met Tammie LeCompte, but she recently launched a Web site {their recent interactive blog} specifically to teach spouses how to pressure the military to give proper care to returning troops with health problems. Picard says Tammie's own battle reflects how wives across the country have transformed themselves into advocates in order to save their own husbands.

By the time Ryan LeCompte was transferred to Walter Reed Army Hospital in late 2007, he was hardly walking or talking — or even eating on his own. He spent most of his time slumped, staring at the floor.

By late last year, Tammie seemed on the verge of a breakdown. She says she was borrowing money from relatives and friends. She looked and sounded exhausted, as she juggled raising their children and fighting the Army — and serving as a full-time nurse for Ryan. "I've got too many worries," she said at the time, fighting back tears. "I'm worried about my husband. I'm worried about my kids. And there's not 10 of me. I'm only one person."

An 'American' Success Story

This morning, on CBS Sunday Morning, they had a segment called Reporting The Good News

In it they had three short stories about three differant people.

One was about a kid in NOLA called Weeding By Example

Last August, Hartman visited a teenager who mowed the lawn at New Orleans City park and helped grow the community's optimism.

A second was called Running On The Memories

In October, Hartman met a man whose very first car not only wins at antique car shows but also keeps the memory of his first and only love alive to him and to all who come see the show.

The two above are GREAT little stories and if you visit the links you can read a short writeup and watch a videos of each, the Car and the Love Story behind it has two videos { I'll bet you get a tear or two wetting the eyes }, as does the Kid with a mower!

The third story, because of the discussions on Immgrants, in a land made up of mostly decendants of Immigrants, and the Illegal part of that discussion, had me download one of it's video's and post it up.

The Amazing Doctor Q which is where the subject title comes from.

He's known now as "Dr. Q," a neurosurgeon at Johns Hopkins University. But not all that long ago, he was an illegal immigrant from Mexico picking crops in the U.S. Steve Hartman met up with him.

An 'American' Success Story

"My very first job was with these very same hands — the very same hands that do brain surgery now, back then they pulled weeds," Dr. Q says.

The reason that one caught my attention is I'm working with a Mexican National now, who has an interesting story as well, though not a brain surgeon, intelligent and hard working he is. He, like this Doctor, probably had descendants living and traveling in the South West long before Columbus sailed the Oceans Blue or anyone else.

He's a quiet guy, and for a Mexican on the tall side, taller than my 5'7" little frame. He also came across illegally some years back apparently working a number of jobs, including being a 'coyote' for a short time. I don't know his whole story but what we have talked about is interesting. He managed to go to college also, getting a degree in engineering than going to work for a company in California. Somewhere along the line he became a U.S. Citizen. The company opened a branch in Charlotte and he and family were transfered here. Than, like many companies, his closed down to move, guess where, to Mexico. They stayed and he went back to school to study to become an electrician, got the needed papers for that, and I'm not sure but worked as one for awhile. Now he's been working for the small remodeling company I now work for. He's been with this company for over a year handling much more than just the electrical, as I do. Doing a wide veriaty of trades, we rarely use subs for the types of jobs this contractor gets.

I asked him why he hasn't gone back to using his degree, getting a more comfortable, and possibly secure job, his simple response is he just likes doing what he's doing now. And he's good at what he does, real good!
