Brit Military BROKEN! Updated

I ran across this report, in The Guardian Unlimited just abit ago.

We're running out of troops, warns army chief

· Defence memo leak says virtually no reserves left
· 'Intense tempo of life' due to Iraq and Afghan fighting

We already are facing a broken, or breaking, military here.
State National Guard units either spread thin or lacking in the equipment needed in cases of emergencies, natural and man-made.

Recruitment numbers not keeping pace with needs of the disastrous failed foreign policies being carried out.

Reserve units facing same as Guard units, spread thin and lacking equipment.

The report goes on

The head of the army has warned that Britain is almost running out of troops to defend the country or fight in military operations abroad.

Sound abit familiar? What with reports of our Military personal, serving in differant branches, and in a wide veriaty of job descriptions, being re-trained as combat troops to do duty in Iraq and Afganistan. This has been going on for quite awhile.

With extended tours, many possibly looking at more extensions, and multiple tours, what's that picture say to those not serving and especially those unwilling to serve, and what Should it being saying to those We Hire to Represent!

More and more of those serving are becoming aware of the lack of leadership on both sides, Civilian and Military, and are speaking out or dropping out!

As the army has been forced to call up 600 reservists for Afghanistan there is only one Spearhead battalion of 500 troops, available for an emergency.

Sound abit familiar as to here. Civilian firefighters fighting numorous small and large blazes, and those fire numbers growing, without the advantage of rest due to possibility that there are not enough National Guard units available to help out!

There is a quick short response from the Brit Defence Department:
MOD responds to press reports regarding UK troop levels

and more reports about the Brit Military and personal Here

Why is this important as to this country, the parallel's are striking. The Brits weren't onboard with their Government adventure right from the beginning, took awhile for this Apathedic Country to wake up. Even though Brtain is much smaller than the U.S. it means fewer and fewer there are joining, as per population, same here, and we have more ground to cover as to National Security, and if we are to have a Military their main job is National Security Defense.

Looks as if the one time Empire Builder will never be again, even when attempting to do so with joining a much more powerful ally. And it looks like our Disasterous Failed Foreign Policies have removed us from the goals of Nation Building, forcing Democracy{?} and Freedom{?} on others at the end of a Bomb and a Bullet, held by the few!

Those few have guaranteed though Perpetural Criminal Terrorism, not only for us but a large chunk of this planet we and others inhabit, for decades to come!

Update
Just after posting the above I received an E with the following Trailer, so I grabbed it and changed it than uploaded:

No End In Sight
THE AMERICAN OCCUPATION OF IRAQ

In Theaters July 27th

Synopsis
The first film of its kind to chronicle the reasons behind Iraq’s descent into guerilla war, warlord rule, criminality and anarchy, NO END IN SIGHT is a jaw-dropping, insider’s tale of wholesale incompetence, recklessness and venality. Based on over 200 hours of footage, the film provides a candid retelling of the events following the fall of Baghdad in 2003 by high ranking officials such as former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage, Ambassador Barbara Bodine (in charge of Baghdad during the Spring of 2003), Lawrence Wilkerson, former Chief of Staff to Colin Powell, and General Jay Garner (in charge of the occupation of Iraq through May 2003) as well as Iraqi civilians, American soldiers, and prominent analysts. NO END IN SIGHT examines the manner in which the principal errors of U.S. policy – the use of insufficient troop levels, allowing the looting of Baghdad, the purging of professionals from the Iraqi government, and the disbanding of the Iraqi military – largely created the insurgency and chaos that engulf Iraq today. How did a group of men with little or no military experience, knowledge of the Arab world or personal experience in Iraq come to make such flagrantly debilitating decisions? NO END IN SIGHT dissects the people, issues and facts behind the Bush Administration’s decisions and their consequences on the ground to provide a powerful look into how arrogance and ignorance turned a military victory into a seemingly endless and deepening nightmare of a war.

The bush seems to think that he will go down to Crawford, and some will follow, giving him Kudo's for a job well done and glowing Historical Reports.

Sorry Idiot History is being written in the Now with all these Visionary Documentaries and Printed Artifacts!
